Who you are: 

The Bar Apprentice will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our bar by preparing high-quality ingredients and assisting the bartenders in crafting exceptional cocktails. Your attention to detail, organizational skills, and passion for delivering excellent customer experiences will contribute to the overall success of our establishment.

What you'll do:

  • Prepare and portion ingredients such as fruits, herbs, syrups, and garnishes for use in cocktails according to established recipes and standards.
  • Assist bartenders during peak hours by promptly providing them with prepped ingredients and ensuring that the bar station remains well-stocked.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the bar prep area, including storage areas and equipment, in accordance with sanitation standards.
  • Monitor inventory levels of bar ingredients and notify management when supplies need to be replenished.
  • Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations at all times to ensure the safety of guests and staff.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to coordinate ingredient preparation and ensure efficient workflow between the bar and kitchen.
  • Assist with the creation and testing of new cocktail recipes as needed, contributing ideas and suggestions to enhance the bar menu.
  • Provide support during special events or promotions, such as preparing batch cocktails or themed garnishes.

What we need from you:

  • Strong interest in working with wine and becoming familiar with all of the great wines and regions of the world.
  • Familiarity with Bevager, Toast, Simplr and other restaurant software.
  • Understanding of Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
  • Previous experience working in a kitchen or bar environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic culinary techniques and familiarity with common bar ingredients and equipment.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the demands of the business.
  • Must be able to lift cases of up to 50 lbs. and transport to various locations throughout the facility.
