The Opportunity 

Delaware North Parks and Resorts is searching for a full-time or part-time Public Space Cleaner to join our team at The Westin Buffalo in Buffalo, New York. As a Public Space Cleaner, you will be key member of the housekeeping team helping to create great guest experience by keeping the property clean and sanitized.

Receive a $750 Sign-on Bonus! Bonus is paid out over time:

$150 paid at 30 days

$150 paid at 60 days

$200 paid at 90 days

$250 paid at 180 days

Pay

$15.50 - $15.50 / hour

Responsibilities 

• Sweep and clean facilities including bathrooms, carpets, walls, windows, break rooms, offices and all other duties as assigned.
• Empty trash, replace liners, dusting, etc.
• Pressure washes concrete surfaces to remove dirt and chewing gum, etc.
• Stock closets and replenish paper products in the restrooms.
• Reports any visible defects to his/her supervisor.
• Implements process improvements.
• Respond to guest inquiries providing accurate courteous information.
• Follow safety rules and keep work areas in clean and orderly condition.
• Train in safety awareness.
• Follow safety and environmental business practices and keep work area in a clean and orderly condition.
• All other duties assigned by management. 

Qualifications 

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• 6 months experience in custodial and related services preferred.
• Must be able to read, comprehend, and follow written instructions. 

Physical Requirements 

• Frequent walking and standing for entire length of shift
• Frequent climbing of stairs, bending, stooping, reaching, kneeling, and carrying and ability to lift up to 40+ pounds as needed.
• Must have ability to reach above head level.
• May be required to work twelve to fifty feet (or more) above the ground on ladders or high lift/scissor lifts if needed.
• May be required to work in hot and humid conditions.
• Must be able to work inside and outside with exposure to heat, dirt, noise, fumes, wetness, paint and solvents.
