POSITION SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Worker ensures optimal functioning of building systems including mechanical, electrical, fire/life safety, and elevators. The Facilities Manager manages team members to ensure proper maintenance of buildings and grounds. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Assist in providing an attractive, clean, safe, and secure facility
Handle mechanical, electrical, structural, and other technical systems within the property area and other outside facilities
Oversee team members and assign jobs and tasks for completion
Track job progress by maintaining detailed records and monitoring work progress
Provide weekly work status for ongoing projects
Prioritize jobs based on business demands
Maintain payroll cost control by efficiently planning staffing and scheduling team members based on business demands
Maintain department budget
Interact with other department managers regarding work requests and maintenance needs
Motivate team members by creating and maintaining a positive work environment
Enforce company and department policies and procedures
Attend and participate in meetings regarding upcoming or current projects
Perform all duties as deemed necessary for the success of the department
Lead and control work output of teams assigned to construction projects to include payroll administration, work assignments, time and attendance recordkeeping, and quality assurance
Assist and/ or complete additional tasks as assigned
EDUCATION/WORKING KNOWLEDGE:
High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
5+ years of experience preferred performing supervisory function i.e., Overseeing facilities maintenance teams on multiple shifts
Minimum of 5 years multi-trade background
Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
Valid Driver s License
21+ years of age
Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures
Knowledge of blueprints
Knowledge of basic electronic systems
Proficient in Windows Microsoft Office, POS systems, Oracle knowledge preferred
