This is a high-visibility, high-touch operation requiring seamless communication, operational excellence, and a passion for hospitality. We're looking for an energetic and detail-oriented Event Sales Coordinator to join our team and help bring our event vision to life.
Who you are:
The Event Sales Coordinator plays a key role in the execution of all group and private events, both on and off-premise. Reporting directly to the Director of Sales, the role is a vital support position responsible for ensuring a smooth, professional, and well-coordinated experience for clients, guests, and internal teams. The ideal candidate is detail-driven, proactive, and thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic hospitality environment.
What you’ll do:
- Consistently support a culture of Enlightened Hospitality and operational excellence.
- Serve as primary point of contact for clients, responding to inquiries with professionalism and urgency.
- Create proposals, contacts, estimates, signage, and event collateral using Marriott-approved systems and tools.
- Collaborate with FOH and BOH leadership to plan and execute customized event experiences tailored to guest needs.
- Participate in site visits, walk-throughs, an meetings; document and communicate all key details to relevant departments.
- Maintain accurate records of event details, payments, menus, and service logistics.
- Ensure full payment is received prior to event execution in accordance with financial and compliance standards.
- Manage internal communication and weekly event updates for both USHG and Marriott leadership teams.
- Maintain inventory of event materials and manage internal displays of available restaurant and lounge event spaces.
What we need from you:
- 2+ years of experience in hospitality, catering, or event sales coordination.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and overall computer literacy.
- Prior experience in restaurant or food and beverage operations strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication skills - verbal, written, and interpersonal.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational strength, and follow-through.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing as a valuable member of a collaborative team.
- Availability to work nights and weekends, as required by the needs of the business. You're a self-starter who takes ownership and initiative.
- You maintain poise and professionalism in high-pressure situations.
- You love hospitality and are energized by creating memorable experiences for guests.
- You have a strong sense of urgency and pride yourself on meeting deadlines without sacrificing quality.
- You understand the importance of building trust through consistent communication and performance.
