Skate Rink Supervisor at TAO Beach Dayclub

POSITION SUMMARY: 

Skate Rink Supervisor will train, assist and support the Skate Marshalls to explain and enforce the rink rules and code of conduct on and off the rink.  Skate Rink Supervisor well also help Skate Marshalls prevent roller skating accidents and respond to skate accidents. Skate Rink Supervisor will also train, assist and support the Skate Rental attendants in skate rental, maintenance, repairs and daily inventory of skate equipment.  Skate Rink Supervisor will report any issues and concerns with the Rink to Operations/Security Manager.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Greet the customer(s), ensure that they have a sticker/wristband relevant for their session and ask for their shoe size(s)
  • Confirm the requested size(s), acquire the relevant skates from the racking behind. 
  • Check that the skates being handed out are a pair of the same size in ‘skatable’ condition (as detailed in the Skate Maintenance Manual)
  • Provide the customer(s) with their skates and advise that they loosen the laces to allow more room for their foot to get into the skate.
  • Daily repair and maintenance of skates/skate equipment and removing “unskatable” equipment from inventory.
  • Daily inventory of skate inventory and daily completion of Skate Maintenance log
  • Let the customer(s) know that there are lockers available for use for their personal belongings (bags, coats & shoes).
  • Advise customers that skates are to be returned via skate after their session is finished.
  • Assure the customers that if they need any help whilst skating that they can ask team member on the rink for assistance.
  • Minimum skating skills – Skate forward, backwards, control speed, stop efficiently and spatial awareness
  • Responding to accidents – access accidents, report accidents timely and ensure the space is monitored until situation has been resolved. 
  • Enforce skating rules per company policies. 
  • Assist and/ or complete additional tasks as assigned


TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

  • Tao Group Hospitality in-venue training

EDUCATION/WORKING KNOWLEDGE:

  • Must have a minimum of two (2) years of direct work experience
  • Previous skating experience preferred
  • Knowledge of skate operations
  • Opening and closing duties
  • Sanitation and safety
