Date Posted:

Looking for a summer internship that’s equal parts learning, teamwork, and unforgettable hospitality? Join the Union Square Hospitality Group Summer Internship Program! From gaining hands-on experience in some of New York City’s most iconic restaurants to working alongside industry leaders, you’ll be immersed in a fast-paced, people-first environment where no two days are the same.

When You Join USHG:

A summer with USHG will give you a unique peek behind-the-scenes at how we deliver Enlightened Hospitality both to our guests and to each other. By the end of the program, we want you to have gained not only real professional experience, but to have also discovered new potential career paths within hospitality.

On the application, you will have the opportunity to submit your resume as well as the restaurants and department you're interested in. The 2026 Summer Internship Program will be offered in the following restaurants and Home Office departments (list subject to change):

Restaurant Operations: Ci Siamo, Daily Provisions, Gramercy Tavern, Manhatta (Restaurant), Manhatta (Events), New York Marriott Marquis, The View, Porchlight, The Modern, and Union Square Cafe.

Home Office: Beverage Operations, Data Analytics, Finance, Guest Experience, Hospitality Quotient, Human Resources, Talent, Training, Legal, Marketing, Real Estate, and Technology.

What does a “Restaurant Operations Intern” do?

Interested in learning more about how you can make a difference in our restaurants? Hear from our previous interns James and Jose about their summers with our restaurants.

What does a “Home Office Intern” do?

Interested in how our different Home Office departments support our businesses? Hear from our previous intern Dominique about her summer at the Home Office.

When You Apply:

On the application, you are required to submit both your resume and a video response to two open-ended questions that will give us a better understanding of who you are.

After reviewing the questions below and recording your responses, upload the video to YouTube and set the video visibility to "Unlisted". Once complete, share the link with us by entering the video's URL address into the "Links" field on the application page. Your total video time to answer both questions should be no longer than 3 minutes.

If you require any special accommodations for this or encounter significant technical difficulties, please reach out to careers@ushg.com.

Application Questions:

  1. At USHG, delivering Enlightened Hospitality is at the heart of everything we do. Please share a special dining experience you’ve had (as a guest or a host). What made it special?
  2. Imagine you are tasked with hiring this year’s intern class. What are the most important traits that you would look for in an intern candidate and how would you measure their success at the end of the summer?
