Tao Group Hospitality is looking for a Social Media and Marketing Manager to join our team in New York City. We seek someone who is deeply enthusiastic about food, nightlife, hospitality, and providing exceptional guest experiences. As the Social Media and Marketing Manager, your mission is to expand our brand recognition across a diverse portfolio of restaurants, bars, and clubs. You will report directly to the Vice President of Marketing and collaborate with various teams, including the food & beverage team, PR team, hotel marketing team, and third-party public relations firms.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Manage social media channels for 6-8 venues, including Magic Hour Rooftop, Legasea Bar and Grille, Cathedrale, Fleur Room, PHD Terrace, PHD Rooftop, Dream Beach, and Alphabet Bar.
- Develop and implement a monthly editorial calendar for posting across relevant channels.
- Create and schedule weekly social media content across relevant channels.
- Allocate and manage the social media advertising budget effectively.
- Full ownership and accountability for the planning and implementation of local social media activity, calendars, and reporting across Facebook, Instagram, and other social media channels.
- Respond professionally to all online inquiries and engage with those who mention or tag our venues.
- Stay updated on food holidays and incorporate them into content where applicable.
- Provide monthly social media stats to demonstrate channel growth.
- Manage website content and liaise with the web department to ensure information and images are up to date.
- Maintain a healthy budget for social media ads.
- Oversee photography creation, curation, and selection, coordinating photoshoots with photographers, chefs, and the beverage team.
- Collaborate with venue chefs and operations teams to schedule photo and video shoots.
- Organize and conduct monthly influencer events at specific locations.
- Source influencers, creators, and user-generated content for storytelling.
- Generate inventive content ideas that drive engagement and align with current food trends.
- Create innovative, original content, both written and visual, including photos.
- Demonstrate a keen eye for design, technical skill, and knowledge of culinary trends. Own and manage the email and newsletter strategy to share content with subscribers.
- Update websites.
- Liaise and collaborate with hotel partner teams and external partners.
- Create agendas for regularly scheduled venue meetings with marketing and operations teams.
- Ensure proper event marketing across all channels, including on property, PR, social media, email campaigns, and promotions/host teams (when applicable).
- Identify key dates and events for targeted programming and offerings.
- Provide on-site event support as necessary.
- This role is highly collaborative and reports directly to the Vice President of Marketing. You will also engage with PR and meet upcoming PR timelines.
- Assist and/ or complete additional tasks as assigned
EDUCATION/WORKING KNOWLEDGE:
- 3+ years’ experience managing social channels in the hospitality industry.
- Passionate about food, hospitality, and the overall guest experience.
- Proficiency with video and photo editing tools.
- Excellent social listening skills.
- Strong copywriting and copy-editing skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- High School Diploma Required or equivalent / Bachelor’s Degree with an emphasis in hospitality and/or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field
- Proficient in Windows Microsoft Office, POS systems, Oracle knowledge preferred
- 21+ years of age
