The Venue Security Supervisor is responsible for creating a safe and secure working environment for TAO Group Hospitality (TGH) Company employees; and creating a safe, secure, and friendly environment that supports the highest level of guest services for clients and guests who visit TGH Company venues. Additionally, the Security Supervisor oversees and supervises all aspects for venue security operations while providing strategic and operational guidance to security staff.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

- be the first team member scheduled and arrive on time
- leads the team as a whole and oversees the intricate operations that the guards handle directly
- knows all areas of responsibility inside and outside venue
- relays their expectations and the company’s expectations to each guard
- immediately assigns guards to set up the door post and all operational opening preparations
- assigns a guard to walk the entire outside of the venue and inside of the venue prior to opening each night.
- this guard must report all findings and imperfections to the Supervisor prior to opening shift. (Check all doors, locks, lighting, foot traffic, weather conditions, area conditions, traffic, etc.)
- briefs all staff regarding the event activities, nightly operations, area intel, crime stats, BOLO’s, All Star and TAO notables, and physical assessments
- assigns guards to each post and ensures they are aware of the orders for each
- ensures all guards are aware of the assignment for every post, should they need to be transferred or moved)
- visually checks and verifies uniforms and equipment is working and utilized properly
- The Supervisor will take a photograph of any guard out of uniform and email All Star and TAO Director for tracking
- Flashlight, radio, earpiece, pen, pad, wands, clickers, ID scanners
- Oversees that no headphones/Bluetooth are in ears and the guards are obeying cellular telephone policy
- directs all trainees or new guards to low threat level posts and conducts a thorough walk through, as a group, prior to posting any new guard
- sets expectations by example as the Security Supervisor is the Leader of the security staff and should create that impression
- notifies Venue Signal chat throughout nightly operations and reports all incidents in a timely manner
- maintains guest relations and hospitality to every single guest and ensures staff is doing the same
- introduces new guards to management
- communicates all information properly, following SOP’s
- utilizes personnel resources strategically and relocates posts when necessary
- conducts disciplinary actions and escalates all incidents they cannot correct or are persistent
SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS/ACTIVITIES:
- Aid in the implementation of Standard Operating procedures (SOP), Post Orders, and policies and procedures for venue security and events in accordance with TGH Security Standards.
- Oversee the administrative process for the contribution of security reporting to include incident reports, security plans, door counts, ejections, transports/escorts, summaries, flash reports, staffing sheets, and other security related reporting as directed by TGH Executive Security.
- Oversee and supervise a team of Security Officers in accordance with venue security protocols and detailed daily plans, as prepared by the Managers and the Directors of Security.
- Plan, coordinate, and actively manage staffing personnel deployments and methodologies to address incidents, situations, and the proper use of resources.
- Act as a liaison to the Venue Manager, TGH Executive Security, and internal departments.
- In partnership with TGH’s learning and development team, provide regular, recuring and remedial security training opportunities and adhere to the staff development training program for venue security and event security staff that includes a venue security exercise training program to include regular tabletop and functional exercises. (Implemented by TAO Executive Security)
- Perform other security duties as directed to accomplish the overall security mission at TGH venues which includes liaising and coordinating with other Threat Management Division units on operational security requirements and needs.
- Oversees all guards reporting time and sign in procedures and addresses lateness with guards, reporting to command staff.
- An email will be sent within 15 min of each late guard to All Star Leadership, venue management, and TGH Security Leaders, indicating who is late and what post will be vacant until assistance arrives. The Security Supervisor will further alert the Venue Manager in person. The Supervisor will then use available resources to cover all critical posts. (It should be noted after the second late a final warning will be given and the third late will be cause for removal from TGH contract.)
- Respond to all emergencies, incidents, and events. (Coordinate 911, EMS, PD, FD, and all emergency services throughout building and update Leadership in real time)
- Ensure and assign the clean-up of the guards’ areas of responsibility, including equipment at end of night
- Review and approve invoices
- Assists employees to their vehicles, car service, or method of transportation to ensure safety of the employees. (If employee is getting in car service, Supervisor will greet the driver and verify the license plate, as to ensure the driver is aware he was observed with our employee)
