The Receptionist represents the face and the voice of the company when greeting visitors in person or when answering the phone. The Receptionist will interact with the public as well as with staff and must be able to quickly understand the nature of the business where he or she works and all company’s venues. The Receptionist must be able to handle difficult situations such as customer complaints or employees running behind schedule for an appointment or a meeting. Ability to handle multiple situations at once with a sense of urgency, poise and confidence. The receptionist must be courteous, alert and watchful of all personnel and visitors that enter the office and must be the one to alert Security/People Practices/Management if a situation should arise.
