Global IT Operations Manager at Tao Group

The Global IT Operations Manager will play a leading role in providing area knowledge in the planning, development, and IT deployment that support the business needs of the organization. The manager will plan, coordinate, and manage all activities related to IT operations at all existing and new venues.  This position will work closely with management and users to identify, recommend, modify, implement, and support business applications, focusing on the continued improvement of these systems and meeting the operational and strategic needs of the organization. With support from the IT team and Management this position will review and analyze the user functions and activities within each business system and recommended necessary enhancements and/or changes. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Maintain knowledge of developments in systems and hardware and incorporate new developments into the future of the company
  • Effectively manage project team members and third-party contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work
  • Manage the development and deployment of new applications and application enhancements
  • Ensuring business requirements and timelines are met
  • Select, develop, and motivate qualified staff to effectively carry out department functions and provide for the continuity of managerial and specialized skills
  • Plan information by learning the company’s concepts, strategy, and target audience
  • Envision architectural scheme, information structure and features, functionality, and user-interface design
  • Create user scenarios; prepare data models; design information structure, work-and dataflow, and navigation; evaluate information representation; conduct creative brain storming meetings across departments
  • Working with third party vendors on support related issues. Communicates, reacts, and documents all end user support needs in accordance to help desk standards.
  • Works with Management in determining operation objects by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats.
  • Improves systems by studying current practices
  • Develop and test operational protocols to ensure integrity of systems and processes
  • Maintains system protocols by writing and updating procedures
  • Provides references for users by writing and maintaining user documentation
  • Maintains user confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential
  • Analyzes and evaluates processes related to information flow.
  • Configures, troubleshoots, and resolves system problems
  • Assist and/ or complete additional tasks as assigned

EDUCATION/WORKING KNOWLEDGE:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 10+ years’ experience in related field i.e., technology, system administration, data management, IT management
  • Maintain a professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance adhering to Company standards
  • Proficient in Windows Office, Microsoft Office, Mac OSX, POS systems
  • Highly proficient in Excel with experience managing large volumes of data efficiently
  • Understanding of hospitality - forecasting, supply planning, optimization, and logistics
  • Knowledge of data extraction, Micros strategy, or similar systems
  • Strong math, organizational, and time management skills
