Job Description

The revival of Pastis was driven by two James Beard Award-winning restaurateurs, Keith McNally and Stephen Starr, who return to a neighborhood they helped cultivate. Pastis features elements similar to the original such as the restaurant’s classic curved zinc bar outfitted with signature subway tiles, vintage mirrors with handwritten daily specials, and a mosaic-tiled floor. Guests can find the classic bistro fare Pastis was known for, with a menu that offers breakfast, weekend brunch, lunch, and dinner.

We are currently seeking a Garde Manger who is interested in working with a large, collaborative, cohesive culinary unit executing amazing French fare made with high-quality ingredients and integrity.

  • 1 - 2 years experience in an upscale high-volume restaurant
  • A strong work ethic and desire to continuously improve one's skills 
  • The ability to work in a collaborative team environment
  • A familiarity with French cooking techniques and cuisine 
  • The ability to work a full-time schedule is preferred
