This role is a selling and a leadership position intended to drive revenue. While promoting a teamwork environment with effective and clear communication amongst Team Members. Responsibilities include developing new business, achieving annual budgets, building relationships, and understanding consumer trends.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Oversees, and enthusiastically motivates the Sales Team daily
- Reviews revenue to determine variances and assess goal accomplishments and adjust strategies and forecasts according
- Resolves client and guest complaints and implement change to prevent future issues
- Meets weekly with the Sales Team to review sales activities, achievements, and any challenges
- Meets weekly with Managing Partner to review corporate sales trends, bookings, sales recaps, and department productivity
- Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers and staff, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy
- Participates in key industry events that bring national and local exposure
- Establishes, develops, and maintains positive business relationships with industry influencers
- Creates annual budgets, sets sales goals, and communicates monthly expectations
- Seeks out and develops relationships with local industries (i.e., corporations, hotels, non-profits, etc).
- Works closely with Front of House Managers, Special Events Team, and Culinary Team to coordinate all upcoming events
- Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
- Champion change: ensure brand and business initiatives are implemented
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:
- TAO Group Hospitality Director of Sales Program
EDUCATION/WORKING KNOWLEDGE:
- Microsoft Office knowledge, strongly proficient in Excel, and Word
- Financial planning and strategy, budget tracking, competitive analysis, and forecasting
- 7+ years of experience in high-volume entertainment or hospitality event sales and operations
- Strong network of corporate and social clientele
