Job Description
The beloved New York City restaurant Pastis reopened its doors in 2019 at a new home in the Meatpacking District, just steps away from the original Pastis. The revival of this important restaurant was driven by two James Beard Award-winning restaurateurs, Keith McNally and Stephen Starr, who return to a neighborhood they helped cultivate.
Pastis features elements similar to the original such as the restaurant’s classic curved zinc bar outfitted with signature subway tiles, vintage mirrors with handwritten daily specials, and a mosaic-tiled floor. Guests can find the classic French fare Pastis was known for, with a menu that offers breakfast, lunch, dinner, and brunch.

We are currently in search of a Chef de Cuisine for Pastis NYC who knows how to lead a top-notch team and has a passion for delicious, flavorful food executed and served with care and consistency.
This position offers a comprehensive package including:
- A Base Salary Range of $92,000- $110,000

Requirements
- Energetic and enthusiastic and possess strong communication and organizational skills
- 4-6 years of experience as an Exec Sous Chef, Chef de Cuisine Executive Chef in a well-rated restaurant
- Prior success in running expo in a high-volume kitchen
- Prior experience training and mentoring a diverse kitchen staff
- Driven towards consistency and service excellence
