Assistant Director, Sales at Tao Group

This role is a selling and a leadership position intended to drive revenue. While promoting a teamwork environment with effective and clear communication amongst Team Members. The Assistant Director of Sales works closely with the sales team, coordinating and directing the efforts of the sales team to meet and exceed sales goals. The Assistant Director of Sales also assists in managing relationships with key clients and ensuring guest satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Assists in the development and implementation of sales strategies and initiatives to achieve revenue targets.
  • Provides leadership, guidance, and support to the sales team, ensuring that they are meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Collaborates with the Director of Sales to set sales goals, targets, and quotas.
  • Serves as a liaison and account manager for the management team, all staff, vendors, guests, departments, and divisions on all relevant matters and responds to inquiries, researches, and resolves problems related to event transactions.
  • Maintain a work environment that promotes client service, teamwork, performance feedback, individual recognition, mutual respect, and employee satisfaction ensuring quality hiring, training, and succession planning processes that encompass the company’s diversity commitment.
  • Provide financial oversight and daily budget management of assigned events. Ability to project and track expenses for department.
  • Resolves elevated guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Focus on achieving the goals or objectives of the department using available resources (staff and budgetary).
  • Develop business plans, budgets and proformas for the creation of new sales cycles.
  • Provide ongoing support for strategic initiatives including but not limited to department projects, structure opportunities and executive level presentations.
  • Develop, and maintain effective relationships with a wide variety of industry decision makers including but not limited to managers, agents, creative agencies, CVBs, and tourism.
  • Oversee the team to ensure appropriate workloads, career opportunities, and recognition are given to ensure retention of key employees.
  • Ensures that staff are familiar with service standards to better sell the facilities.
  • Directs and monitors the performance of staff, ensuring that all procedures are followed.
  • Establishes a departmental SOPS identifying all policies relevant to sales functions.
  • Provides feedback to the Director of Sales on market trends and customer needs and makes recommendations for product and service enhancements.

EDUCATION/WORKING KNOWLEDGE:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement successful sales strategies and initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing sales teams and driving sales growth.
  • Strong customer service and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Proficiency in Power Point, Excel, Word, and Triple Seat.
